Pine River

A New Chapter for a Classic Home

Overlooking the Pine River in Charlevoix, this classic Northern Michigan cottage had plenty of character, but needed a thoughtful update. Our goal was to preserve the home's original charm while improving its flow and connection between spaces.

A carefully designed addition provided the opportunity to rework the home's second-floor access. The original staircase was cramped and awkward, so we created a more open transition between levels, improving circulation and seamlessly integrating the new addition with the existing home.

The result is a restored and reimagined home that honors its history while providing its owners with better functionality and space to grow.
